Workshop Information

Thank you for your interest my workshops!

I have been presenting workshops for the past 15 years, have a bachelors degree in art education, have taught ceramics for over 35 years, and have been a full-time studio Potter since 1987.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in hosting a workshop in 2027. Once we’ve confirmed our workshop, I will send a needs checklist that includes the description and title of your particular workshop, as well as materials, tools and equipment needed.

Example of a workshop description: Embossed: slab construction using 3-dimensional surface decoration

“Want to become a confident hand builder? Working with soft slabs and embossing plates, students will learn a variety of forming techniques, including darting, stretching and assembling; skills that allow us to create complex form. We will then make our own tools. Students will create embossing plates and learn about pattern making.”

Typically included in both hands-on and/or demo workshops: Learning how to create and use embossing plates, demonstration of various hand building techniques, discussion about ergonomics, timing, design and healthy risk taking in art.
